Fall 2011 Mini Science Olympiad
The Fall 2011 Mini Science Olympiad took place on December 5th at the University of Texas. STEM Clubs from across Austin ISD came to participate. The students walked away with many awards to show how much they learned this semester!

2011 Science Olympiad

This weekend's 2011 Austin Regional Science Olympiad competition was amazing! Eighteen middle schools and high schools joined us on the UT campus for a Saturday full of written competitions, engineering events, and academic fun. There were rubber band helicopters floating around in Anna Hiss gym, scientists doing forensics in the Welch lab, and astronomers identifying galaxies in Burdine hall. Every student seemed excited to be here and each one demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship. Our volunteers enjoyed being involved in the competition as well and enthusiastically stepped up to the challenge of ensuring that every event ran smoothly. Congratulations to all of our participants this year! |
