If you are a teacher, there are numerous ways you can get involved with UTeach Outreach. We offer support for classrooms by offering student teaching assistants, provide hands-on learning experience with monthly scientific expeditions and provide an extensive Master Teacher Academy for those wanting to gain their Texas Mathematics Teacher (MMT) or Texas Master Science Teacher (MST) Certification.

| Every semester, UT students from all disciplines enroll in the UTeach Outreach course to create and teach engaging, hands-on science lessons meant to inspire K-6 grade students to Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate and Evaluate science concepts. Assistants are offered based on your class schedule. | UTeach Outreach volunteers lead children from AISD on field trips through UT to demonstrate how science works in the real world. Students learn about the importance of ecosystems and topics like energy transformation, preservation, ongoing algae research, bio-fuels as energy, and more. These field trips are scheduled on Fridays throughout the semester from 9 am to 1 pm. | The Master Teacher Preparation Academy prepares qualified 4th through 8th grade mathematics and science teachers for the Texas Master Teacher examination. The program consists of a three-week summer academy with supplemental online coursework and is offered in conjunction with the nationally recognized UTeach Natural Sciences program at UT. |
